Embracing its rich cultural heritage, Chanderbala Modi Academy’s Tagore House joyfully observed Janmashtami, radiating fervour and devotion in honour of this cherished celebration. The event, a reflection of the school’s commitment for integrating learning, beautifully showcased the cultural significance of Lord Krishna’s birth.
The assembly began with serene flute music as Shivani Chaudhari dressed as Lord Krishna, entered the hall, captivating everyone.Anchored by Tamanna Majumdar and Rudraksh Aswar the program started with a Sanskrit prayer by Avyukt Prajapati ,Aayushi Thakre explained the word “Leela,” followed by Apurv Verma’s thought of the day on Krishna’s virtues.
Kripit Jain delivered a Sanskrit speech, with Vidhi Khatri providing a Hindi translation. The celebration included a Krishna quiz, a Gujarati group song, and a solo Kathak dance by Tamanna Majumdar. A highlight of the event was a captivating dance drama depicting the life of Krishna, performed by the students.
The event concluded with a joyful “Happy Birthday Lord Krishna” song and a group photo, followed by the National Anthem. Principal Sir and Vice Principal Madam appreciated the efforts of the teachers and students for the wonderful programme and spoke to the students about the importance of the Bhagavad Gita. They emphasized that, as the Gita teaches we should perform our duties with dedication and leave the results to God.
The Janmashtami celebration was a memorable blend of devotion, culture, and joy for everyone involved.
