Chanderbala Modi Academy places great importance on leadership skills among its students. This was exemplified through its annual Investiture Ceremony. The programme highlighted the academy’s commitment to empowering its newly appointed student leaders, celebrating their potential to take on responsibilities and lead by example.
The ceremony, which took place in the school’s auditorium, was graced by the presence of Dr. Kushal Oza, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bharuch District, and Mr. Yogesh Kumar Purohit, District Secretary of the Bharat Scouts and Guides. The event marked a pivotal moment for the students as they stepped into roles that would shape their character and leadership skills throughout the academic year.
The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the dispelling of darkness and the illumination of wisdom. Following the introduction, the guests were felicitated by the Principal and Vice Principal respectively, who presented them with token of appreciation. Vice Principal Ms. Rosy Mehta delivered the welcome address. She highlighted the importance of student council and roles and responsibilities of the newly elected leaders.
The ceremony continued with the formal investiture of the new student council members.
The Senior School leaders, including the Head Boy and Head Girl, Speaker, House captain, Vice-Captain and Prefects were ceremoniously vested with their badges of office. The members
of the school council took an oath to serve their school with integrity, dedication, and a commitment to uphold its values. The Junior School leaders followed, proudly receiving their badges, which signified the school’s belief in nurturing leadership from a young age. The Scouts and Guides also held their investiture, where the newly appointed leaders pledged to uphold the principles of discipline, service, and teamwork, core to the Bharat Scouts and Guides movement.
At the end of the ceremony, both the guests addressed the gatherings. Dr. Kushal Oza said “Leadership is not about power, but about making a positive impact. Embrace your roles with integrity and dedication, and always strive to inspire those around you.” Mr. Purohit told about the importance of giving service in the society. Principal, Mr. Ramjee Nagrajan told about leadership skills that each one of us should possess.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, where the school extended its gratitude to the guests, parents, and teachers for their support in making the ceremony a success. The programme was well managed by the coordinators Ms.Sujata Banerjee and Ms. Chitrita Manji and a team of dedicated teachers.
